The Latin American Festival

The Alinaza Coalition and the Latin American Coalition working together to keep families safe.

For the last few years, Alianza has partnered with different festival coordinators, including the Latin American Festival, to promote alcohol safety laws and regulations. The Alianza team alongside adult and youth volunteers work together to check IDs, confirm that someone is over the age of 21, and then provide a wristband that allows the person to purchase alcohol.

But that’s not all! The Alinaza team also has a table showcasing different programs and resources to both youth and adults and of course some fun learning games!

The Alianza mission is to use environmental prevention, education and community collaboration to create change and prevent substance use among Latino youth in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

Education is our passion and prevention is our goal.
