Our programs address various needs, from building healthy relationships and self-esteem to preventing substance use and mental health issues.   • Too Good For Drugs

    Too Good for Drugs

    Available for Kindergarten through 8th grade, this engaging 10-session program covers healthy relationships, making healthy choices, and resisting peer pressure. Each session lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Unique You

    Developed at CPS and tailored for 3rd and 4th graders, Unique You focuses on self-esteem, communication, emotions, teamwork, and assertiveness. It includes eight sessions, each lasting 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Familia Adelante

    Familia Adelante is a multi-risk prevention intervention for Latino youth ages 10-14 and their families, enhancing youth and family life skills, and reducing youth substance use.

  • Strong African American Families

    This 7-session program supports youth aged 10–14 and their caregivers. SAAF builds on the strengths of African American families and helps manage the transition to adolescence while emphasizing the prevention of risky behaviors such as substance use.

  • AmarTeatro Theater Program

    The AmarTeatro Theater Program uses a theater-based approach to encourage Latino youth to open up about different topics in their lives that have affected their mental health and how substances like alcohol impacted their lives and people around them. It is a 15 week program serving youth ages 9-18 years old.

  • Botvin Life Skills Training

    Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) is a program designed to help prevent substance abuse for middle and high school youth. It works by addressing key social and emotional factors that can lead to drinking, smoking, drug use, and violence, making it easier to stay away from these risky behaviors.

  • HALO (Healthy Alternative for Little Ones)

    Targeted at preschool and kindergarten-aged children, HALO focuses on healthy choices, emotions, and relationships through 12 sessions, each lasting 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Reconnecting Youth

    Reconnecting Youth (RY) is an evidence-based prevention program for teens at risk for school dropout and co-occurring problems. RY includes a semester-long class, with just 10-12 students, that can be integrated into any middle or high school setting and offered for a grade and credit.

  • AVOID (Anti-Vaping Online Information Dissemination)

    An online program for ages 12-16, AVOID educates about the dangers of vaping through youth-led videos and interactive activities, aiming to dispel myths and provide factual information.
