¿Con qué frecuencia vas a la tienda y ves algo que quizás quieras probar, pero no sabes qué contiene exactamente? ¡Para muchas familias, esto podría suceder con más frecuencia de lo que cree! Esto podría ocurrir especialmente en nuestras comunidades que hablan español, que podrían tener problemas para entender las etiquetas de los alimentos en inglés.

Earlier this year, the Alianza Youth Council wanted to establish a method to consistently reach out to the community to talk about the topics that are important to them. Their brainstorming process led them to decide that a series of videos posted on social media would be the best way to interact with the younger audiences we are hoping to reach. These videos would be divided into several categories: short videos posted on TikTok that were engaging and entertaining, and longer podcast-style videos posted on our main social media platforms that contained important information. All of the videos would focus on our four key values: Identity, Community, Culture, and Resilience.

What comes to mind when you think of the term “multimedia?” When the Alianza Youth Council was asked to work on a multimedia project, they instantly thought of the word ART. Many of the youth in our council are passionate artists who love expressing themselves through various forms of media. Some are poets, others like to take pictures, and some love to draw and paint. This is how the Multimedia Art Campaign was born.
